The long coat, the duster, the open caftan... all names for near knee length styles of a sleeved garment that can be loose or fitted. These pieces are one of a kind, spectacular and dramatic, no matter what the style. The outer shell of the coat is made of my collage fabric, multi-fibered, beaded, and embroidered, and the inside is a full, lush, lining, sometimes hand dyed silk, sometimes another ready-made fine fabric, carefully chosen for its ability to slide and to complement the outside shell.
