Silk to wear! Scarves, ruanas, wraps... each hand dyed, no two are exactly alike in color. When I create this silk, I start with white silk. I soak the silk in vinegar water, apply acid wash dyes, then steam the silk to set the colors. The result is vibrant and washable! Scarves come in three sizes! Each are made from lightweight, 8mm habotai, often referred to as "China silk". The hems are hand rolled. The prices range from $25 - $40: 8" x 54" is $25, 11" x 60" is $30, 14" x 72" is $40. Three Button Silk...pictured in yellow... this garment can be worn at a dramatic angle with the buttons at the shoulder, or in a less dramatic fashion with the buttons in the front, or as a skirt, scarf, or wrap. You are only limited by your imagination! It's made of lightweight China silk. The hems are hand rolled. The silk is 22" x 90" and has 3 buttons and loop button holes. The price is $75. Silk Ruana...pictured front and back in blue at the top of the grid... this garment is versatile. It can be worn as a ruana, a poncho, sarong, or pareo. You can tie it or wrap it or wear it loose. It is made from 14mm silk crepe de chine. The hems are hand rolled. It's 55" wide and 76" long. The price is $100. For current pieces, or to order specific colors, contact me. |
